US soybeans for China are being questioned

Prices of CBoT soybeans have been falling slightly for two trading days as political tensions between the United States and China could bring down US bean exports.
Traders in the Far East do not believe that existing trades will be canceled, but whether the number of orders continues to be as high as in recent weeks is now being questioned.
Large orders for US corn and soybeans by Chinese buyers reached a multi-year high in mid-July.
US Consulate employees in Chengdu had to go home yesterday. Beijing's closure of the embassy was the last pinprick in diplomatic relations between the two superpowers.
China, meanwhile, has been buying noticeably more soybeans in Brazil since June. 10.51 million tons were loaded in June alone. That was 91% more than in June 2019.
