At the beginning of the US financial year (wheat beginning June 1st), US wheat exports were weaker than in the two previous years. While wheat exports in 2021/22 were still 3.11 million tons at the same time, they were 2.17 million tons at the end of last week. The strong US dollar is making life difficult for US exporters. Europe's exporters, on the other hand, are benefiting from the current weakness of the dollar and were able to export more in July than in July of the previous year. For today's export releases, market analysts expect bookings of 200,000 and 500,000 tons of wheat.
