In Paris, wheat contracts couldn't escape the bearish pull from overseas and slipped into the red just before the weekend. The most traded December fell by EUR 5.50/ton to EUR 350.75/ton. The signs on the Chicago Stock Exchange shone deep red. The front month recorded the highest daily loss of $32.50 US cents/bushel. The main reason for the severe correction is the weak export figures. The hopes of many US dealers were not fulfilled due to the high prices. With a volume of 212,000 tons, export sales mark the lowest level in over 32 years. Despite the uncertain situation in Ukraine and the current negotiations, many market participants continue to expect the export corridor to be extended. Ukraine plans to expand to Mykolaiv port. The agreement is scheduled to be extended on November 19.
