Wheat futures in Paris could not maintain the gains from the previous days and fell sharply. The latest analysis by Coceral shows that grain production is expected to be 282 million tons, down on the previous year (-2 million tons). Around 126 million tons of this goes to wheat, which corresponds to a decrease of 3 million tons compared to the previous year. A weaker harvest is expected, especially in Eastern Europe. The German harvest is estimated at 42 million tons. Meanwhile, the signs on the CBot glowed deep red. The trading limit was again fully exploited. Above all, the negotiations and the possible ceasefire in Ukraine noticeably dampened the buying mood on the stock exchange. Nevertheless, many market participants continue to expect volatile trading in the coming days.
