After the weak end of the year, wheat prices in Paris also had to give way during yesterday's trading. The month ahead posted a loss of 4.50 euros / ton to 274 euros / ton. At the CBoT, the futures could not recover either and continued to slide into the red. Above all, the previous dates went out of trading with losses of up to double digits. According to market observers, the reason for the correction is the stronger US dollar. Traders fear that export business could suffer as a result. The losses were curbed by the weather conditions in the USA. Heavy snowfalls occurred particularly in the west of the country. In the last week of December, US exports totaled 141,816 tons, well below expectations. In total, exports have thus reached 12.1 million tons. Compared to the previous year, this is a decrease of around 3 million tons.
