The state of US winter wheat stocks has continued to improve over the past week. As of May 27, 188, the US Department of Agriculture rates 38% of winter wheat stocks as having the top rating "good to excellent". In the previous week, it was 36%, in the past year, however, at the same time 50%. Grain pushed ears of corn on 73% of the areas (previous week: 61%, previous year: 79%, 5-year average: 75%).
Summer wheat is now sown on 91% of planned land. After initial delays, the value is now above the 5-year average of 89%. In the previous week, sowing was done on 79% of the land, last year on 95% of the planned land. Sprouted summer wheat sowing on 63% of the areas (previous week: 37%, previous year: 77%, 5-year average: 68%).
