The ratings of winter wheat stocks in the United States are in poor shape. Yesterday, the USDA released the weekly ratings for the first time this year for all states.
Only 32% of the stocks received the top rating "good to excellent". As mediocre, 38% of the stocks were rated and 30% were rated as "weak to very weak". This weak rating was last seen in this phase in 2002. The dry weather conditions had a negative impact on winter wheat stocks and there are currently no signs of a significant improvement.
