The weekly ratings of US winter wheat stocks in the state of Kansas increased in the past week. 13% of the stocks received the top rating "good to excellent", compared to 11% in the previous week. In addition, only 49% of stocks were rated "weak to very weak", last week: 55%.
In Texas , the proportion of top-rated holdings increased to 12% (previous week: 10%), but the proportion of bad-stock holdings also rose from 60% to 63%.
North Dakota stocks increased from 30% (end of February) to 35%.
The situation in Montana is much better. There, 65% of winter wheat stocks received the highest credit rating. It was 54% at the end of February and 62% a year ago.
Much worse, albeit better than last week, is the situation in Oklahoma . 9% of the stocks are in good to very good condition (last week: 5%), but 54% are in bad to very bad shape (last week 66%).
