In Paris, mid-week wheat prices did not find a consistent direction. The later dates noted slight gains. The green signs also prevailed at the CBoT. The results of the WASDE report in particular provided bullish impulses for trading. As expected by the analysts, the US ending stocks were increased to 17.63 million tons, but the estimates for the global ending stocks were different. These were revised down to 278.21 million tons, below expectations. In Australia, the analyst firm IKON forecasts a harvest of 39 million tons. The USDA experts are more pessimistic with a production of 34 million tons. Meanwhile, demand on the international wheat market remains high. So Japan is looking for 80,000 tons of feed wheat.
