Contrary to the bullish sentiment in the US market, corn futures on the Matif slipped into the red yesterday. The front month fell 1.25 euros/ton to 250.25 euros/ton. Bulls took the lead in the Chicago Stock Exchange, driven by the soybean markets. In the WASDE report published yesterday, the USDA continues to anticipate US corn production of 383.94 million tons. The US ending stocks were also updated unchanged at 39.11 million tons. Global ending stocks were revised down to 302.2 million tons, as was the global harvest forecast to 1.205 billion tons.
