Euronext corn followed wheat prices into the red and ended Friday consistently in losses. On the CBoT, the corn futures also ended the weekend with losses. Only the later dates were able to turn the signs shortly before the end of trading. In addition to the weak indicators of the agricultural markets, the weather at the weekend in particular was responsible for the selling mood. Heavy rainfall was expected, especially in Brazil and the east of the corn belt. The losses were slowed down by the export reports from the USDA. A new sale of 136,000 tonnes with an unknown destination has been reported.
