Common wheat exports from the European Union in the 2021/22 season, which began in July, had reached 11.62 million tons by November 28, as data published by the European Commission today shows. However, the table is not complete as some French data is still missing.
In the same week last year it was 10.45 million tons.
EU barley exports in 2021/22 had reached 4.12 million tonnes, compared to 3.43 million in the previous year, while EU corn imports reached 5.17 million tonnes compared to a revised 7.09 million tonnes.
The Commission stated that the data for France in the report were still incomplete without providing further details. Previously, it had stated that the French figures were only complete until July 2021.
Grain traders are extremely upset about the incomplete statistics.
