Both the Matif/Euronext and the Chicago Board of Trade continued to lose heavily yesterday. In particular, the news that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are progressing triggered selling pressure on all contracts. However, a definitive solution still seems a long way off. In addition, the heavy rainfall in large parts of the Midwest put pressure on them. According to initial estimates, stocks are likely to recover significantly. On the local cash markets, trading is brisk if goods are offered. The demands of the producers usually have to be accepted by the buyers, especially for short-term needs. Many market participants are also expecting a high price structure for the coming harvest.
