On Friday, the slide in wheat prices was halted on Matif and CBoT. Wheat in Chicago recently fell to its lowest level since the beginning of the year, attracting speculative investors to build new long positions. Fundamentally little has changed in the past few days. The Ukrainian sea transports are also in full swing. According to government information, 10 ships are currently being loaded with agricultural goods in the three ports. According to the Ukrainian industry association UGA, the wheat harvest in the war-torn country is 91 percent complete, which corresponds to a harvest volume of 17.4 million tons. Last summer, 33 million tons of wheat were harvested from the fields. On the spot markets in Germany, the price quotations for bread wheat are falling significantly as a result of the weaker Matif quotations. B wheat delivered to Hamburg is currently quoted at 333 euros/t. Pre-market, the CBoT is showing a slightly green sign today.
