For Den Weizen in Paris, the previous trading week ended in the red. The most traded May recorded a loss of EUR 4.25/ton to EUR 365.25/ton. Futures also continued south in Chicago. Above all, the persistently weak US export figures weighed on trade. Many market participants had hoped for a significant increase in commercial transactions as a result of the cessation of exports on the Black Sea. It is reported from Ukraine that 309,000 tons of wheat left the country in March. This means that exports are well below the normal level and have only reached a quarter of the volume of February. The cultivation forecast has meanwhile been raised to 13.4 million hectares for grain, despite the adverse circumstances.
