Wheat prices in Paris rose again yesterday. The new front month of December rose by EUR 0.75 to EUR 336.25 per tonne. The situation on the cash markets in Germany has largely not changed. Requests for later delivery times are asked and offered here and there, but sales are still low. Studies of wheat samples by the Max Ruber Institute show that the protein content is 11.8% on average. In the previous year, 12.7% were found in Germany. In Thuringia, the protein content is the highest at an average of 13.1 percent. Wheat prices also went slightly north on the CBoT. As on the Matif, the main support here is the continued uncertainty regarding Ukrainian Black Sea exports. The weekly crop report shows that 10 percent of the winter wheat area has now been cultivated, which is slightly better than the average for the last five years. The spring wheat harvest is 85% in and has thus picked up speed significantly in the last two weeks.
