After the losses on Friday, the price rally continued yesterday on the grain exchanges. In Paris, the front month was quoted from 32.50 euros/ton to 322.50 euros/ton. On the CBoT, futures also maxed out profit margins. The most traded May rose $74.25 US cents/bushel and thus costs the equivalent of 305.75 euros/ton. Above all, the uncertain situation in Ukraine is contributing to the volatile trade. The sanctions introduced against Russia, especially in the financial sector, could lead to massive restrictions on export transactions. In addition, some ports on the Black Sea are currently not operational. The USDA said 400,000 tons of wheat had been shipped this past week, down from the previous week's figure of 570,000 tons.
