Wheat went south on both exchanges yesterday. On the cash markets in Germany, especially in western Germany, there is a quiet cash business. Neither buyers nor sellers have an increased need to trade goods and against the background of the high differences in the price expectations, wheat is primarily still being stored. Here and there Dutch buyers are out and about in the border region in search of fodder wheat. However, inland shipping is increasingly becoming a problem in logistics. The US winter wheat harvest has stalled just like the spring wheat harvest. Currently 90% of the stocks have been harvested. In the previous year it was already 97% at this time. According to official figures, almost half a million tons of grain have now left Ukraine via the Black Sea. A large part of the exports have so far apparently gone to Turkey. The very good export figures of the EU-27 had the effect of slowing down losses on the Matif yesterday.
