Brussels (dpa) - The Federal Government is trying today to avert a complaint by the EU Commission because of too much fertilizer and nitrate in the groundwater. Agriculture Minister Julia Klöckner and Environment Minister Svenja Schulze campaign for EU Commissioner for the Environment Commissioner Karmenu Vella for their additional proposals to tighten the fertilizer ordinance.
