Soybean futures in Chicago slipped into the red at the start of the week, with the currently favorable weather conditions in Latin America exerting particular pressure. In Brazil, the harvest forecast for the 2024/25 season was raised again and is expected to amount to 170.8 million tons, while exports could reach a volume of 107.0 million tons. The data published on soybean processing yesterday surprised market participants to some extent. According to the USDA, a record volume of 6.47 million tons was processed in October. Soya exports also amounted to a volume of 2.09 million tons. The main customer remains China. A total of around 21.79 million tons were exported in the current season. Compared to the previous year, this represents an increase of 16.2%.
