PM markets: Wheat up on short covering, rains lift row crops

Chicago wheat rallied today on short covering, ahead of key US crop data.

The July Chicago contract was up 2.7% to close at $5.01¼ a bushel.

There was some fundamental support for the rally, with weather news mixed.
