USDA estimates a higher supply situation for oilseeds - U.S. soybean crop on record course The American Department of agriculture (USDA) the global oilseed supply estimates in its Aug. 16 report again considerably higher than in the previous month.   Measured on the final stocks of rd 80 million tons and 17% of consumption the global supply situation is not as high as in the record year of 2014/15 with surplus stocks of 93 million tonnes or 21.1% of the consumption, but moves in the upper midfield. The soy bean, has a significant share of the about accounts for 60% of global oilseeds. The recent South American crops have completed only below average spring 2016. Fears of a tight supply situation in particular against the background of the US soybean cultivation were connected, the more interference due to La Niña let expect. But the current weather was previously particularly favorable this year. The weekly US inventory assessments according to, maximum yields are expected. The latest USDA estimate for 2016/17 comes on worldwide 330 million tons of soy and is therefore around 18 million tonnes on the previous year. For the United States it is in autumn 2016 by a bumper crop of 110 million tonnes . In South America it is estimated soybean crops in the spring 2017 with a maximum harvest of 103 million tonnes in Brazil and average 57 million tons in Argentina. Higher soy offer applies to an estimated 11 million tonnes higher demand. Heavily supported by China's soy imports. 87 million tonnes of Chinese imports estimated to approximately 4 million tonnes on the previous year is expected for 2016/17. The rain current Chinese soy purchases suggest a higher volume of imports. In the background stands the import decline of corn dry Stillage due to Chinese concerns over non-approved GMOs raw material use. The USDA estimates despite contrary reports from Malaysia and Indonesia palm oil harvest unchanged compared to the previous month, a but higher for the previous year . The global canola crop is estimated at 67,11 million tonnes and remains below the previous year's already weak. Weaker results are higher harvests in Canada and India in the EU and across China. The times of rapeseed crops worldwide 71 million tonnes seem to belong to the past for the time being. The reaction on the stock exchanges on the latest USDA report was tending to course oppressive. Soya and rape dropped something. It is expected to to be reckoned with after effects in the coming week.
