More and more new potatoes are coming onto the market at the food market . The marketing lead over previous years is unusually large. There are currently many early potatoes available, especially in the south-west and in the greater Hanover area. On the other hand, the harvest in Bavaria and the Rhineland is a little below expectations, and the range is not as extensive here. Overall, however, new potatoes are in demand everywhere in Germany and prices remain high because of the overall scarce supply situation. In the meantime, the potato stocks of the main harvest have developed better in the Heath region of Lower Saxony.
