Prices on the ware potato market have fallen again. However, prices are expected to stabilize soon. Harvesting is progressing well. There are isolated reports of quality losses due to worm damage. Domestic offers dominate the markets, with only a few markets still seeing imports from France. Domestic deliveries increased once again. They exceeded the restrained demand on the markets. Although supply is growing due to the good earnings situation, demand is now also increasing significantly. There is also a clear impetus on the demand side nationwide due to the onset of the mail order business and export activities to south-eastern Europe. The market situation should then stabilize again, not least due to storage activities and the upcoming stockpiling campaigns. On the EEX, the most traded April 25 futures contract has been trading sideways since the middle of last week.
