Only in Poland and some zaghafter in Italy. In Poland a very strong demand resulted in a strong increase in prices for slaughter pigs. In Italy is expected with a slight plus of pork prices by approximately 1 CT / kg live weight.
France reported stable slaughter and unchanged battle weights. Consequently, the result are likely to be here for the new week unmodified pig prices. No price change is predicted in Spain as well. Supply and demand are balanced is at a high level. The exports follow the normal season-typical expectations. The pricing procedure is laid down for 2 weeks until after Easter. In Italy it give a revival in demand after chops, causing a slightly increased demand for slaughter pigs. 1.42 EUR / kg carcass weight for pigs of the trading class E there was a considerable price increase of 7 CT on comparable calculated in Poland. Easter is here after pork demand peak. The boiled white sausage, called in Polish "Easter sausage", find here enormous popularity and boosted the pork demand. This meant that in the week before Easter the pig slaughter and demand were after pigs in Poland at a very high level.
