What mean Fallow land in the agricultural sector?

Formerly arable land that has not been worked for more than three years and whose cultivation has generally been abandoned. A distinction is made between black fallow, in which the soil remains "black", i.e. without vegetation due to repeated plowing; green fallow with self-sowing or weed infestation and semi-fallow (partial fallow), in which no further cultivation takes place in the same year after early crops.
