Metastock: Important Message for Reuters DataLink Users
Dear valued client:
In order to ensure our Reuters DataLink feed is able to consistently provide you with data every day, it is necessary to upgrade our hardware. This will take place on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 9:00am EST. If you are downloading at the time of the switch, you may notice an interruption to your download. If this happens, just restart your download. We do not anticipate any other issues during this time, or any extended outage period; however as we will be completely replacing our hardware, there is the possibility service will be interrupted.
In the unlikely event of an extended interruption, we will post information on the Support page of our website and send an email to Reuters DataLink users. An additional email will be sent when everything is back on line.
In addition to the new hardware, we will also be releasing the following fixes to Reuters DataLink:
• Final Price Fix: each exchange’s unique rules for reporting the close price for securities has now been implemented. In the past, all close prices were based on a close field; however some exchanges had different rules for which field should be reported as a security’s close price. This is now resolved.
• Futures Fix: we have improved our method for obtaining futures data and are now able to provide an earlier report of most futures data.
• Sector and Industry grouped indexes: we are now delivering the S&P Global Industry Classification Standards solution for sector and industry indexes.
