Hopes for progress in combating corona and the resumption of production by low-level producers are causing potato contracts on EEX to rise this week. Food products could benefit from the extension of the lockdown, but currently mainly the needs of the food retailer to be met. Hopes that the restaurants will reopen on January 11th have been dashed and demand for processed goods will continue to be low.
