The contract size for fattening beef is 50,000 pounds (~ 23 tons) and the tick size at $ 0.00025 per pound ($ 12.50 per contract). The contract months are January, March, April, May, August, September, October and November. The last trading day is the last Thursday of each delivery month at 12:00, with the exception of November. The daily price limit is $ 0.03 per pound above or below the settlement price on the previous day. The electronic trading hours begin Monday at 09:05 to Friday 13:55 by Central American time (Central Time). Between 16:00 and 17:00 is not traded. More information can be foundhere.
