In line with the wheat market, corn prices on Euronext/Matif also began to recover yesterday. The most traded June contract, which becomes the front month this week, rose by 1.75 euros to 173.00 euros/t. The news situation, however, has changed little. Ukraine's good ability to deliver, which was recently confirmed again, continues to weigh on price developments overall. In order to be able to plant corn, producers are hoping for drier weather in the coming weeks. Areas intended for this purpose are currently not accessible, particularly in the north of the Federal Republic but also in many other European countries. Corn contracts also climbed on the CBoT. The USDA inspected 1.08 million tons of export corn shipments last week. Although that was around 210,000 tons less than the previous week, over the entire season so far, the United States was able to ship more corn abroad. Additional support came from a flash sale of 110,000 tons of corn. The buyer is a buyer from Taiwan. Premarket contracts in Chicago are mostly trending weaker this morning.
