Nymex Future Handel auf CME Globex

Da in diesem Rundschreiben die COMEX nicht ausdrücklich erwähnt wird muß man davon ausgehen daß die COMEX Futures davon nicht betroffen sind.
Das wird aber nur eine Frage der Zeit sein schätze ich.

Weiterhin stellt sich die Frage welchen Sinn nun noch die cash-settled Kontrakte machen.

SUBJECT: New NYMEX miNY™ Platinum and NYMEX miNY™ Palladium to Launch on CME Globex®

The Board of Directors voted in its July 10, 2006 meeting to approve the launch of financially-settled, NYMEX miNY™ Platinum and NYMEX miNY™ Palladium futures contracts on Launch Date 2 of NYMEX products on GLOBEX®. This is scheduled for trade date Monday, August 7, 2006, which starts with the beginning of GLOBEX® trading on calendar date, Sunday, August 6, 2006. These contracts will be traded throughout GLOBEX® trading hours.

A summary of the details for trading these contracts is provided below and the full terms and conditions of contracts are attached.

NYMEX miNY Platinum (PQ)

10 oz. contract @ $0.50 per oz, cash-settled on NYMEX physical contract
No price limit, if the floor hits a daily price limit, NYMEX Customer Service will notify GLOBEX®
Jan, April, July, Oct are listed months, listed for current cycle month and next four cycle months
No Bust Range of $4.00 (8 ticks)

NYMEX miNY Palladium (LQ)

25 oz. contract @ $0.25 per oz, cash-settled on NYMEX physical contract
No price limits, same as physical contract
March, June, Sep, Dec are listed months, listed for current cycle month and next four cycle months
No Bust Range of $1.00 (4 ticks)

Fees for NYMEX miNY Platinum and Palladium: $1.00 for Non-Members, $0.55 for Members.

NYMEX ACCESS® MIGRATION: The physically-settled full sized Platinum (PL) and Palladium (PA) will migrate with the rest of the NYMEX ACCESS ® product slate.

Bei der Trading Expo war auch ein Infostand der CME, auf Nachfrage nach den COMEX Futures wurde mir gesagt, dass diese vermutlich ab Spätherbst auch an der GLOBEX handelbar sein sollen.

NYMEX Announces Trading At Settlement For Energy Futures Contracts Traded On CME Globex®

(28.07.06) - The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced that trading at settlement (TAS) will be available for all full-sized NYMEX financial energy futures contracts traded on CME Globex, beginning on August 6 for trade date August 7.

The TAS products and their commodity codes will be: WTI crude oil financial TAS (WST); RBOB gasoline financial TAS (RTT); heating oil financial TAS (BHT); natural gas penultimate financial TAS (HPT); natural gas last day financial TAS (HHT); Brent crude oil financial TAS (BBT); NYMEX Europe Brent crude oil TAS (SCT); and NYMEX Europe gasoil TAS (GRT).

TAS contracts will be available for the first two listed months for these products and will be subject to the existing TAS rules of the underlying physical products. Trading in all TAS products will cease daily at 2:30 PM EST.

All fees will be based on the existing rate structure for the cleared products on CME Globex.

Mit dem Globex Handel rückt der RBOB Kontrakt mehr in die Schusslinie. Kann jemand bitte einen längerfristigen (endlos Kontrakt) Spread chart zwischen RBOB Gasoline und Nymex Gasoline (HU) einstellen ?

Mit dem Globex Handel rückt der RBOB Kontrakt mehr in die Schusslinie.

Nicht nur damit, sondern auch dadurch daß einige Commodity Indizes auf RBOB umstellen bzw. schon umgestellt haben, und auch weil angeblich konventionelles Benzin schon in einem halben Jahr delisted werden soll.

New Margin Rates and Tiers for the New Financially Settled Globex miNY Platinum and Palladium Futures Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. confirmed today that it will migrate its after hours energy futures contracts from NYMEX ACCESS, the exchange's after-hours electronic trading system, to the CME Globex electronic trading platform, which operates virtually 24 hours each trading day, beginning on August 6 for trade date August 7.

The migration will include the physically delivered crude oil, natural gas, heating oil, gasoline and propane futures, as well as the platinum and palladium futures contracts, all of which will trade only prior to the opening and following the market close of the NYMEX floor.

Last night, NYMEX announced that it will offer the same physically delivered energy futures contracts on CME Globex during its regular open outcry trading hours, beginning on September 4 for trade date September 5. The contracts will trade side by side in conjunction with NYMEX trading floor hours, and they will be fungible with the floor-traded NYMEX contracts.
