http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-02-12/sentiment-more-bullish-99-all-prior-readings
Dieser setzt sich zusammen aus
1. Flows: investor risk appetite as indicated by flows to EM equity funds, EM debt funds and high-yield bond funds
2. Positioning: investor risk exposure as measured by long-only fund manager cash levels, equity vs bond allocation, cyclical vs defensive sector allocation and futures positioning across fixed income, commodities, FX and equities
3. Price action: market technicals as implied by global equity market breadth and relative performance of global credit markets to US treasuries

<< Is Skew Signalling a Pullback? >>
The Fear Barometer is a way to measure skew in a consistent format through the pricing of a “zero-cost collar”. The index assumes that you sell a 3-month, 10% out of the money call and use the proceeds to purchase a 3-month out of the money put. The moneyness of the put option that you can afford is the index itself, so if the index is at 25 it implies that you can purchase a 3-month put 25% out of the money with the premium that you received from selling the 10% OTM 3 month call.

theshortsideoflong analysiert wieder das Sentiment
http://theshortsideoflong.blogspot.de/2013/04/daily-notes_19.html
