DRV estimates German rapeseed harvest below 3 million tonnes - lowest rapeseed harvest in a decade. The German Raiffeisen Association (DRV) estimates the German rapeseed harvest in its July issue at only 2.97 million t. Measured against previously common harvests of between 4.5 and 6 million tonnes, a considerable supply deficit is developing in this country. The low harvest quantity comes about by a repeated around rd . 28% reduced cultivated area and below average yield per hectare of only 33.5 dt / ha . In the individual federal states, the expected harvests are very different. With more than -37 to -47% decrease compared to the previous year, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg and Hesse are at the lower end of the scale. Decisive factors are the acreage reduced almost to the same extent, which is due in the first line to the dryness-induced difficult sowing conditions. Crop reductions of between -20% to -27% are expected for Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia .Between -10 and -20% are the results in Bavaria, Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. An exception is Schleswig-Holstein (SH) with a gain of just under + 21%. However, this result is attributable to the catastrophic previous year . In a multi-year comparison, this year's SH harvest remains below average. Above-average yields of 38 dt / ha are forecast this year in Baden-Württemberg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.
