A decrease of 14,869 contracts resulted in 64,699 net short positions at the end of the reporting period. The wheat courses in Chicago were therefore able to increase somewhat.
The corn speculators in Chicago were relatively quiet in the last week. Net short positions decreased slightly by 1,164 contracts to 133,442 net short positions. The courses in Chicago remained largely stable.
