Euronext corn followed wheat and made moderate gains just before the weekend. The June date recorded an increase of one euro to a settlement rate of 173.25 euros/ton. The green signs also prevailed at the CBoT on Thursday. The most traded May contract gained 9.25 US cents/bushel and therefore costs the equivalent of 153.94 euros per ton. Today's WASDE report is eagerly awaited. Investors in particular had positioned themselves in the market with selling positions in advance. Meanwhile, US exports reached a volume of 1.109 million tons, which was both in line with expectations and at the level of the past four weeks. Around 1,159 tons of corn were loaded in the current season.
