GDT Auction Results Feb Febr, 2019: +6.7%

GDT auction from 6th February 2019: since the beginning of December price increase of approx. 18% The 3rd Global Dairy Trade Auction (GDT) in the New Year 2019 continues the price increases from the previous dates with +6.7%. As a result, average prices have risen by approx. 18% increase. Repeated low transshipment volumes of around 23,000 t, ever-decreasing milk deliveries on a global scale as well as the total sell-off of the EU MMP intervention warehouses are contributing significantly to the development currently being observed. In detail Whole milk powder prices are experiencing above average growth of + 8.4% . In the individual delivery months, the surcharges for the pre-auction were consistently above the +8% line. Even in the peak seasonal deliveries in May and June 2019, high surcharges were approved. The skimmed milk powder prices only reached a price premium of 3.9% a on average , but in connection with the pre-auction the growth rates are about the same as for VMP.
