The scarce land availability and the concomitant restrictions on livestock farming are relatively less favorable for piglet production than for pig slaughter.In addition, Denmark has set up a powerful organization for ferry exports, which ensure the sales of the Danish piglet surplus, which has now grown to 40%. The large Polish piglet deficit is due to a 50% reduction in the small-scale sows kept since EU accession in 2004. In the future, the restructuring of the pigs is expected to continue. Denmark will continue to focus on piglets rather than fattening pigs. In terms of animal husbandry with a high claim to animal justice , Denmark is almost always in the top position. This is no coincidence, as the pork sector contributes significantly to the gross national product of Denmark at 15%.
