This morning, the Belgapom lowers the price of free disposable raw material "Primeurs" from 8 € / dt to now 5 € / dt.
The new marketing season started at € 18 / dt on July 21 and since then quotations have been down on a weekly basis. The buyers of the factories, despite the sharp drop in prices, mainly use potatoes they bought in advance at fixed prices, thus fulfilling their acceptance requirements. In the meantime, potatoes are cheaper to buy in the free market than contract potatoes.
The supply is greater than the demand. This also determines the courses of the April-18 date at the EEX in Leipzig. Yesterday, the prices fell below the 8-euro mark. This is for the time being the lowest price of this due date.
