The EU's soft wheat exports in the current 2017/18 season, at 7.51 million tonnes as of November 14, are 23% below the comparative value of the 2016/17 marketing period. At that time, 9.7 million tons of common wheat had already been exported at the same time. Export licenses for 500,000 tonnes of wheat were granted last week. Together with wheat flour, durum and durum meal, exports totaled 8.17 million tonnes versus 10.72 million tonnes in the 2016/17 marketing period.
