Technical sales as well as losses in the maize were able to close the wheat quotations on Friday in Chicago with slight discounts. In the week's comparison, the July month of the month lost 5.6 cents. Institutional investors increased their net short positions by 1,000 lots CBoT SRW wheat. The electronic night trade is a little weaker this morning.
At the Euronext in Paris the wheat fudge against the negative requirements from overseas and easily increased. Only the front month of September 2017 gave a minimal effect. In France the wheat stocks suffered from the dry and hot weather which lasted until the middle of last week. 68% of the holdings received the top rating "good-to-excellent" on 19 June. In the previous week it was 74%. At the start of the new marketing period 2017/18, SovEcon expects relatively high exports of 2.5 - 2.7 million tonnes of grain in July, of which about 2.0 million tonnes of wheat. Russia is once again closing supply contracts for wheat without premium after a trade dispute between the two countries has been settled. In the southern regions of Ukraine, grain harvesting began in 2017.
