India had to reduce its estimate for this year's soybean harvest 9 to 9.5 million tonnes because of the vagaries of the weather. Earlier estimates suggested more than 10 million tons. 2014 the harvest volume amounted to 8.8 million tons. India soy meal exports, which were already down in recent months, are likely to reduce now due to the fixed price level. The export amount of 2.5 million tons could fall in the previous year to 1 million tonnes in the current financial year. India exported mainly to Japan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Viet Nam the feed. But more and more buyers obtain their goods from South America because India cannot compete with the prices in Brazil and Argentina. It would have to falling prices currently 3,140 rupees to under 3,000 rupees. A harvest volume of over 10 million tons would have to provide the necessary price drop.
