The Russian agricultural consultancy IKAR has today increased its forecast of wheat harvest 2017. It now lies in a range of 83.2-83.7 million tonnes (previously: 82.5-83.5 million tonnes). The forecast of the barley harvest remained unchanged at 20.2-20.6 million tonnes, while the forecast of the corn harvest was downgraded from 13.9 million tonnes to 13.5 million tonnes. With its latest forecast, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture has a wheat harvest of up to 83 million tonnes.
