Soybean sowing started last week and 2% of the planned area is ordered on 22.04.18. This is reported by the US Department of Agriculture in its weekly Crop-Progress Report. One year ago at the same time 5% of the planned areas were ordered, on the 5-year average it was 2%.
Corn has already been put on 5% of planned land, but due to unfavorable weather conditions it is well below the level one year ago (15%) or 5 years (14%).
