CME Group To Launch Hot-Rolled Coil Steel Futures Contract
24/09/08 - CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, today announced that it will launch US Midwest Domestic Hot-Rolled Coil (HRC) steel futures contracts for trading and clearing on CME Globex(R) and ClearPort(R), beginning on October 19 for the October 20 trade date.
The contract will be financially settled against an index developed by CRU International (http://www.crugroup.com/) and reflects an assessment of the prevailing market prices for U.S. Midwest Domestic HRC steel. The contract size will be 20 short tons with a minimum price fluctuation of $5 per short ton and will be listed for 18 consecutive months. Neue Handelszeiten Grains
Dear Customer:
As you are aware, CME Group recently embarked on a comprehensive review of our grain and oilseed trading hours, which included broad outreach to producers, commercial firms, traders and other industry participants who manage risk in our markets. Based on customer feedback and our own analysis, we will reduce both floor and CME Globex electronic trading hours in CBOT grain and oilseed, and KCBT products. Pending CFTC review, the new trading hours will be effective as of trade date Monday, April 8, 2013.
Trading hours for CBOT Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Soybean Meal, Soybean Oil, Rough Rice, Oats, and KCBT Wheat futures and options, plus all related CBOT and KCBT calendar spread and inter-commodity spread options, will be amended as follows:
Sunday to Friday: CME Globex trading from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 a.m. CT
Monday to Friday: Break in CME Globex trading from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. CT
Monday to Friday: Floor and CME Globex trading from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. CT
Daily settlements for both CME Globex and floor trading of these products will be based on market activity at or around 1:15 p.m. CT each day. Mini-sized futures (CBOT Corn, Soybeans and Wheat) will trade on CME Globex and on the floor until 1:45 p.m. CT.

Die grain trader können wieder wie gewohnt Mittagszeit machen, nur starten die Getreide jetzt um 8.30 CST statt 1 Stunde später. Das war vor 20 Jahren auch so, wurde dann aber rückgängig gemacht. Das opening wird wieder mit gaps sein und daraus ergibt sich: alte Handelsstrategien zur Eröffnung werden wieder funktionieren. Es kommt selten vor, dass an den Börsen Regelungen zurück genommen werden. Mal sehen ob es zu weiteren Änderungen kommt, fragt sich SPOMI.

Finde gut, dass die Zeiten reduziert wurden. Nun ist wie gewohnt um 20.15 Uhr unserer Zeit Börseschluss. Man kann sich also wieder auf das TV-Hauptabendprogramm konzentrieren ;-). Und die Japaner und Chinesen arbeiten ohnehin immer gegen mich, gut, dass man denen zumindest 45 Minuten weggenommen hat :-).

Leider werden die USDA Reports nach wie vor während der Handelszeiten veröffentlicht. Für nebenberufliche Trader ein Nachteil, da die Märkte auf die Reports reagieren, bevor ich sie gelesen habe.

So schnell kann keiner lesen. Die Nachrichten werden maschinell ausgewertet und augenblicklich reagieren Maschinen an den Börsen. Deren Korrektur werden dann von Spezialisten genutzt. Man wird den nebenberuflichen Semiprofs nicht in die Hände spielen.

es wäre schön, wenn hier die Nachrichten von CME/ICE öfters erscheinen würden. klar gibts die homepage der jeweiligen Börse, wo man nachlesen kann und div. newsletter abos. aber solche Services a la EBERT hatten schon einen gewissen Wert und ist in (dt.) Foren selten. es sollte für ZMP nicht so schwer sein das in das Forum zu integrieren. Grüsse SPOMI
