Producers are optimistic. The result of the Internet pig exchange shows where things could go tomorrow. Pigs ready for slaughter can be marketed quickly despite the lack of impetus from the meat market. For February, however, market participants are expecting better demand again. There are regional reports of excess demand. The market is correspondingly cautiously optimistic with regard to tomorrow's price quotation. At today's auction of the Internet Schweinbörs, a total of 630 pigs in 4 lots were sold from 630 pigs in 4 lots at an average price of 2.16 €/kg (that's 7 cents more than at the auction on Friday) . The trading range was 2.15 to 2.175 euros/kg.
