Corn prices on Euronext/Maitf were mixed yesterday, but the dates of the current crop closed with losses, which were smaller than on Wednesday. The March date loses 1 euro to 275.75 euros per ton. The cash markets have recently shown stable prices for corn with manageable sales. All in all, the good supply situation is putting pressure on the price structure despite the small harvest in Europe. Corn went south at the CBoT. The March date lost 5.75 US cents/bu and closed at a converted rate of 283.00 euros/ton. Very good US export sales did not change the signs. In the week ended January 26, US exporters sold 1.593 million tons of corn for export, a 75 percent increase in sales volume over the previous week. Even the optimistic analyst estimates were exceeded. There is also good demand in Brazil. In January, the South American country was able to export 6.35 million tons of corn, twice as much as in January 202. Pre-market, the eCBoT is slightly red this Friday.
