Germany: V- price 2.10 €/ kg (range 2.10 – 2.15 €/kg)                                               The weekly slaughter numbers were lower due to the holiday at 622,872 pigs ( previous week 739,397) , and the slaughter weights were higher at 97.9 kg . The pre-registrations have increased again with 287,100 pigs (previous week 281,200) . The ISN auction on Tuesday October 10, 2023 repeatedly did not take place due to a lack of demand.  The V price has been set at €2.10/kg in a range of €2.10 - 2.15/kg for the period from October 12th, 2023 to October 18th, 2023. ASF : As of September 22, 2023, 5,566 ASF-infected wild boars have been officially confirmed in Brandenburg, Saxony and Mecklenburg. Only 15 ASF cases were reported in September 2023. In Sweden, the number of ASF wild boar finds has increased to over 50. More than 30,000 domestic pigs have now been culled in northern Italy. Market and price development in selected competitor countries: In Denmark , the comparable calculated prices of €1.86/kg will remain unchanged in the 41st week of 2023. In Belgium, the prices in the 41st week of 2023 will remain unchanged at the comparable calculated prices of €2.15 /kg reduced by -2 ct/kg.In the Netherlands, prices will be reduced by -5 cents /kg in the 41st week of 2023 with a comparable calculation of €2.10/kg . In France/Brittany prices have fallen by -1 ct/kg to €1.99/ kg . The number of battles fell slightly to 349,658; Slaughter weights are slightly increasing at 95.14 kg. In Italy, the prices increased again by +1 ct/kg in the 41st week of 2023. Supply remains tight. The increasing ASF culling is causing noticeable bottlenecks. In Spain, prices will be reduced by -4 ct/kg in the 41st week of 2023 with a comparable €2.32/ kg. After the hot summer phase, slaughter weights increase. Limited sales at home and abroad are forcing prices to be adjusted downwards. In the USA/IOWA, producer prices have stabilized at €1.56/kg. The number of battles has decreased again after the brief increase. The unit prices are inconsistent. For Oct.Brazil: Producer prices have been further reset on average to €1.56/kg . Domestic demand remains restrained. The live supply increases slightly. The export figures are on a stable course. China: Prices have stabilized at €2.86/kg . Only for the consumption-intensive month of January 2024 is €2.84/kg expected again. The number of sows fell by -1.9% compared to the previous year. China will soon allow Russian pork deliveries from ASF-free regions. Conclusion: The current autumn period is usually characterized by an increasing supply of pork with limited demand due to the phasing out of grilling activities. The number of battles stabilizes at over 725,000 per week. Pre-registrations also remain at an elevated level. Prices are coming under increasing pressure.Hopes are focused on an increase in processed goods.
