Derivative Exchange
On a futures exchange to meet suppliers and sellers of futures and warrants together. It allows a fair and transparent pricing. On a futures exchange hedgers (hedgers), speculators and arbitrageurs are active. The main futures markets for agricultural commodities are the NYSE Euro Next, which operates the Matif in Paris and the Liffe in London, the EUREX and CME Group, which is operated by the CBoT (Chicago Board of Trade) and the CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange). The common opinion that futures exchanges are an invention of modern times, is wrong. Traders already used to hedge with futures contracts for olive oil and rice hundreds of years ago.
