The market for processing potatoes remains solid and dynamic. Prices have increased almost everywhere. Reka raised its prices for Fontane and Challenger to 35 euros/dt, Agria is quoted at 36 euros/dt and Innovator can even achieve up to 38 euros/dt. In particular, the lack of willingness to sell and the overall tight supply situation due to a significant lack of quantities from the last harvest are continuing to drive up prices. The mood on the market is also strong in Belgium and France. Belgapom is quoting 35 euros/dt for Fontane and Challenger today, 5 euros more than last week. This also exceeds the previous year's level by 5 euros per 100 kg. The factories show a high level of demand and are now trying to secure their quantities for ongoing processing. RNM in France also increased its quotation for Fontane to 35 euros/dt. Trading on the EEX remains manageable, but settlement prices have recently become somewhat firmer again. 24 contracts were already traded today, meaning the contract for April 24 rose to 39.10 euros/dt. Open interest has decreased this week. The situation on the food market has changed little. Here too, good potatoes are currently in short supply. Quotations are increasing in almost all regions compared to the previous week. Mainly waxy potatoes are quoted 0.50 euros/dt higher in the federal average than in the previous week. The previous year's level is also significantly exceeded. While the national average prices for these varieties were 28.33 euros/dt at the end of February last year, they are now 37.75 euros/dt.
